Dior Hydra Life BB Creme Review

beauty cosmetics reviews skin skin care

I've mentioned before on the blog that I'm a big fan of BB creams for my everyday life and I certainly prefer them over foundations. I don't need full coverage, and I like the more natural way they sit on the skin. I'm preparing an in-depth review and comparison of several different BB creams, but today we're going to take a detailed look at the one that tops my collection. Whether it is worth? Here is my opinion!

This is Dior Hydra Life BB Creme! The cream is not that new, but I first noticed it a week or two ago. I was looking for a new higher end PDT and the consultant at the Pretty Shop showed me this cream, claiming that it was a perfect choice for my skin. I tried, questioned and took it. This is a great BB cream that is both skin care and contains SPF 30. It promises to be the perfect cream for dirty urban environments and to protect the skin from harmful influences. It hydrates perfectly and I don't need to apply any foundation or cream beforehand. However, I apply day cream early in the morning, because my skin is quite dry in places, but I tried it without it and it's good for me - it doesn't dry out at all.

The consultant said that one pump is enough for the whole face, but it's not - you need a little more to cover. You have to work with it quickly, because it immediately absorbs and dries into the skin, but with a brush or Beauty Blender it works perfectly, with fingers it doesn't work. The only thing I don't particularly like is the consistency - it's a bit thin for this type of product, but with the right application technique it's not much of a problem. It gives very good coverage but not full coverage - just what I wanted. It comes in 3 shades, mine being the darkest – 03 Sunny Amber.

At first, applied to the face it's so orange it's unnatural as hell, but after just 5 minutes it adapts to the skin tone and is amazing. It's perfect for me because my skin has a yellow undertone, but for ladies with pink it wouldn't be OK, in my opinion. It goes on very naturally, doesn't make my skin oily in the T-zone, doesn't accentuate pores and lasts quite a while.

Overall, I can say that Dior's BB cream is lovely, but not phenomenal and so amazing considering the price. I bought it at a price of 80 euros and it is the most expensive BB product I have ever used. I like it a lot, but I am not sure if I will repeat the purchase - I am convinced that there are other alternatives, again high-end, but at a not such a high price.
