The packaging of Bourgois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick is comfortable, transparent at the bottom and with a match-cap, perfectly displaying the color of the product inside. The applicator is a type of lip gloss. It is convenient and easy to apply.
Their aroma is definitely not the most pleasant, but it is felt only when applied and I personally do not pay so much attention to it. If you're not pretentious, I guess it won't bother you either.
Consistency - a type of liquid lipstick that dries in a matte effect. (They're everywhere right now, and they're probably nothing new to you.) By dries do not understand that dries and stretches the lips. Of course, it is not hydrating, but it is a standard effect to achieve durability. It is no coincidence that the series is called velvet - it feels really like velvet on the lips. There's no flowing. I have noticed that I achieve the best effect by putting very little product on the first application, with almost no wet effect on the lips. I wait a little and apply a second one idea denser layer. This results in a smooth and even layer. Of course, you can only apply it on one, and on youtube I have seen a patting with a finger (for lighter shades), which creates a completely different, much more natural effect. The shades were initially less, but subsequently the brand added a few more and now there are 15 in total. They are not so diverse, but they cover a good range and mostly include a good selection of pink-nude shades.
The second shade is pretty daring or at least for me and my style. Almost cyclamen red/pink, sounds pretty wow and his name is no less like that - Ole Flamingo! (#5)
At first I was quite stressed by it, but as a matter of fact it turned out to be an extremely comfortable shade in spite of its brightness. The important thing is to apply it with a little more carefully and from then on it stays on the lips without running, looks evenly and in general there is no need to constantly take out the mirror to check it.
Right now I have a third nuance that is somewhere in the middle.. OK de - more to the first flesh shade, but with a little more color. It's called Nude-ist, and in general, he's a universal blogger's favorite. I kept meeting him in posts, but I postponed his purchase for a long time with the excuse that I had enough lipsticks... Well, it turns out that I really needed him and now it's my favorite of the three. And one of my favorite lipsticks. But, since during the filming for this post I had not yet bought it - I will not dwell on it anymore, but if you are looking for a daily shade that will suit everyone - call off the search - choose Nude-ist.
If it is not yet clear - I am definitely a fan of these lipsticks and recommend getting them. I personally am eager to grab more nuances (check out this Velvet porn), but I know that for the moment they do not have any that will be something new and necessary for my collection. However, if I hit a promotion I have given myself permission to add Frambourjoise for example..
