HOW TO DEAL WITH OVERTHINKING?

In a world where people who don't think en masse, there are others who think too much. You'll tell yourself what the problem is... Sometimes thinking too much can become a big problem. Especially when all you think about is problems.

What is overthinking? This is "the art of creating problems that weren't even there." It may not sound like a serious problem, but every time you are alone, you start "thinking" and torturing yourself... Things are not right.

For me, this is becoming a growing problem. It has come to the point where I sit every day and think about things that can happen, but in a parallel universe. I think, I think, the day is coming that I have tormented myself about and it is not what I have thought. For a few hours everything is fine and then everything starts all over again. This also affects the people around me, because what I do when I'm with my friends is to make them tell me that everything is fine and my worries are in vain. Something like: I "tell me everything is fine", my friends: "everything is fine", I out loud "fine", and in mind "yes". I go home and it starts all over again.

And although I read things about this problem all the time, I repeat to myself that my fears are in vain, I have not yet overcome this problem, and the truth is that if you also suffer from overthinking, then our fears are only in the head and we only have to deal with it.

Here are 5 tricks I am trying to deal with the problem:

1. Take measures when you feel that you are in this state

- awareness of the problem is the first step to solving it. When I "catch myself" thinking too much about things that haven't happened and it's not clear if they're going to happen, I tell myself "stop" and look for something to occupy my mind with. Reading is a very good way. If possible, something in which you can not find the problem that torments you. If it's a love drama, don't read romance books.

2. Control your thoughts - instead of asking yourself what can go wrong and getting stuck in the problem, think about what happened right. I know, it's very difficult. "We are afraid not because things are difficult; They are difficult because we are afraid."

3. Set yourself time to think

It's not easy to stop, so it's a useful tip to set a time to think. However, let it not be more than 20 minutes. Finally tell yourself, I've thought enough about it, let me think about something else now. I admit that I cannot see this advice at all, but progress is all that is not stagnant.

4. Think of the present

- Usually thoughts are related to things in the future, as will happen, who will say what, what will happen if... My history teacher used to say, "No if, poops her pants" And the woman is right.

5 . Don't think about overthinking

This is where the elephant rule applies. When they tell you, "Don't think about the elephant," what do you think? Just for the elephant. So it is with thinking, when you sit and think about how you think, you will not stop thinking. Do you get my point?
